METAPIXEL is a coding collective based in New Brunswick specializing in database and web-coding. The company felt their image needed a fresh and youthful look with a less corporate and playful feel to represent the culture and personalities of the owners and employees.

4XEM is a distributor of consumer electronics, parts and cables based in Ontario, Canada and Buffalo, NY. Their brand needed an update with a fresher, more youthful and exciting feel, so we redesigned from the ground up including a completely new  corporate identity package, a logotype redesign, updated branding across all of their packaging and labelling, culminating in a website built around their custom inventory system.

BCHS FOUNDATION HOLLYWOOD GALA

The Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation needed a print and social promotional campaign and event signage for their biggest annual fundraiser. We produced a themed series of framed large format signs, posters, an event program and mailed ticketing print material along with a website, social media and bulk email marketing campaign that encompassed their Hollywood Gala theme for 2019.

Compassion Through Comedy

COMPASSION THROUGH COMEDY

The Brantford International Comedy Festival recently celebrated their tenth year of success by rolling out a non-profit program entitled Compassion for Comedy, gifting unsold tickets to the patients and families of the local general hospital and urgent care facility. We designed a simple, quirky and fun logotype for their program literature and websites.

Orange Swan, one of Brantford, Ontario’s leading high-end spa, nail and eyelash extension studios required a new look to complement a recent studio renovation. We took this opportunity to completely reinvent the brand, offering a bold and rich new design aesthetic, simplified typographic styling and a website redevelopment with an integrated app for appointment booking.

Walter’s Greenhouses & Garden Centre are a Brantford-based greenhouse servicing corporate clientele with a well established retail front-end. The family business needed a colourful, friendly logotype refresh after 20 years of using the same brand in the local marketplace.

OpenSystems is a custom groupware service and software developer based on an open standards platform. The Maryland, US-based company needed a website design that better visualized their information-heavy content. The project eventually evolved into a company re-branding and awareness campaign.

BRANTFORD INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL

The Seventh Annual Brantford International Jazz Festival is a collaboration between TD Bank and the City of Brantford Downtown BIA to promote arts and cultural events in the Brantford downtown core. We were tasked with promoting this event with posters, tickets, promotional flyers, city signage and purchasable items at the event.

ARTESIA

Hamilton Health Sciences’ Population Research Institute (PRHI) commissioned us to create a logotype for their research study entitled Reduction of Thrombo-Embolism in Patients with device-detected Sub-Clinical Atrial Fibrillation aimed at studying the effects of the drug Apixaban versus Aspirin on patients suffering from stroke and systemic embolism.

The Annual Brantford Comedy Festival brought five industry-leading Canadian comedians to the beautiful Sanderson Centre for the Performing Arts. We created the ‘finger puppet’ marketing concept, newspaper advertising campaign and show program to promote this amazing event throughout the region.

ZIO Cable Installation and Electrical is a Burlington, Ontario-based cable management and electrical supply company working primarily with large industrial contractors and municipal projects. ZIO needed a simplified logotype refresh to better reflect the company’s corporate image.

THE BIGGEST HOKEY POKEY

The Biggest Hokey Pokey was a community event hosted by local businesses to raise money for the Community Cancer Care Clinic at the Brant Community Healthcare System – Brantford and area’s regional LHIN hospital and Urgent Care facility. The client wanted a vibrant, duo-toned look with a family-friendly appeal, carried over from posters to hand-outs to tickets and local retail ads online and in local newspapers and magazines.

NEXT Directory celebrated its 30th anniversary with a 200-page bumper fashion and housewares catalog featuring 24 pages of fabric samples. NEXT’s focus this year was on ‘aquatic forms’ so we used their material swatches to playfully illustrate an underwater world with experimental typographic treatments sprinkled with introductory zones containing densely illustrated elements intertwined with lots of white space.

Covers and interior designs were vibrant and eye-catching with coverage from SportsNet Canada, Brantford Film Festival, local events and regular story focuses on local healthcare.

NORTH OF NASHVILLE SONGWRITERS CIRCLE

A local coalition of businesses in the Brantford BIA organized a promotional event to support the Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS) Foundation raise money for the Community Cancer Care Clinic at the Brantford General. We supplied the bold, moody duo-toned promotional posters, event identity and ticketing designs for the event featuring local rock, country and folk recording artists.

KIWANIS FIELD | KIWANIS CLUB OF BRANTFORD

The Kiwanis Field Committee together with the Grand Erie District School Board, federal and provincial officials, representatives from the City of Brantford and a large contingent of the Pauline Johnson Collegiate and Vocational School community gathered to celebrate the official opening of the new state-of-the-art Kiwanis Field outdoor athletic facility. After six years of planning and fundraising, Kiwanis Field is a reality thanks to the support of over 150 community partners and the project’s gold level donors including the Kiwanis Club of Brantford, the Grand Erie District School Board, the City of Brantford and the Ontario Trillium Foundation. We designed the logotype for this landmark sports location for the community.

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, and the Brant Community Healthcare System Foundation, the charitable arm of the Brant Community Healthcare System, launched their 52-week promotional progressive lottery campaign to raise money for patient equipment. We crafted their marketing materials, promotional advertising and design aesthetic for the campaign.

Winterpark Homes, a regional retirement community and homebuilder needed a branding initiative for its new phase of luxury retirement community homes in Vancouver, BC. Tired of the usual faux-classical logotype treatments, they requested a logotype with contemporary styling, simple lines and muted, but contrasting tones that would appeal to the sensibilities of their target demographic.
